Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
It is one of the most beautiful days of the year here at Christ Church this afternoon - a warm breeze, new growth on our pine trees, birds everywhere (even a red-tailed hawk on the steeple). We have a lot to thank God for today.
Be sure to see our latest Newsletter. It is available at the following link:

I wanted to remind you that on Tuesday May 18 from 6-9 p.m. we'll be welcoming Paola Gianturco for a lecture and dinner for women in the parish hall. She is a photographer who will share some beautiful images with us. You can sign up at http://womantowoman.eventbrite.com and make reservation for childcare at elisa at thethirdplace.org. It should be a magical evening.
Please contact Betty Pickett (gramsie3387 at gmail.com) to let her know if you can (begin to or continue to) participate in the Cooks On Call List. She writes that this list is to be used when we need volunteers who can furnish a meal that is needed by a parishioner, or when we need a volunteer for an errand or trip to the doctor. It will be also occasionally be used when we need contributions of food for a social or reception. This is such an important ministry. Please help her if you can.
May God bless you and all you love,
Malcolm
How to describe Tai mountain?
Its green towers above all of Chi and Lu!
Here the Creator concentrated divine beauty;
its north and south sides split dark from dawn.
Chest pounding, you reach the birthplace of clouds;
bursting eyes fill with birds returning to nest.
Someday I must climb to the very top,
look down on all of the little mountains at once.
