[Parish] Unsent Message

Dear Friends,

I don't know why, but the message I wrote below last Thursday didn't send to the parish list.  I'm sorry about that.

Anyway, Jim and I are both back in town now so we can be reached in the same way we usually are.

The parish retreat was completely magical.  The Bishop's Ranch really is a place where lives are changed.  I hope that you can make it next year.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
 
On this warm spring evening when God’s blessings in this life are so obvious to us, I write with sad news.  Maryetta Shriver died peacefully last night at 10:00 p.m.  She probably never would have described herself as such, but she was one of our church’s matriarchs and saints.  We’ll miss her delightful sense of humor and her grace so much.  We’ve lost someone wonderful.  Please keep Bob in your prayers.
 
Jim and I will be at the parish retreat until Sunday.  If there is an emergency please call my house at (650) 969-3964.  Heidi and Micah are staying here in town so that he can finish up his Great Expectations play in Los Altos.
 
We won’t have a forum on Sunday just the regular services at 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
