Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I apologize in advance for the long email. We have so much happening here right now that even our newsletter isn’t completely up to date. Below the link are some upcoming events that couldn’t be included in this newsletter:

Tonight (Wednesday March 3) at 7:00 p.m. we will continue our Lenten series “Beyond Theology” with a program called “Co-Creating with God.” Please join us in the Fireside Room for the program.
We just received word yesterday morning that the bishop will be able to fit us into his 2010 calendar after all. It’s short notice, but he’ll be joining us on March 14 for the 9:00 a.m. forum and our 10:00 a.m. service. Bishop Marc Andrus last visited us in December 2008. It will be good to see him and to hear his perspective on life in our diocese. If you have not been confirmed or received into the Episcopal Church, please contact me immediately so that we can talk about how we can prepare you for this next step in your spiritual journey.
This Sunday we’ll be celebrating Scout Sunday with a 9:00 a.m. pancake breakfast and at the 10:00 a.m. service. In the past few years we haven’t had many scouts at worship. After speaking with our scouting leaders, this I expect most of them to be in church this Sunday. It is very important that we are here to welcome them and to support their ministry!
Lucy Carter’s sons Adrian and Christopher, and Micah Young are in the Los Altos Youth Theatre production of Charles Dickens’ classic story Great Expectations. Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2:00 p.m. Sundays at the Bus Barn Theater. For tickets and more information please call 941-0551.
Finally if you missed the exhibition of my Ethiopia photographs at Gallery 1055 in San Francisco last year, the Los Altos Public Library will be showing the pictures until March 30. I’ll be interested in hearing your thoughts about this project that tries to depict the way that faith transforms lives and builds connections between people who inhabit completely different worlds.
Today is Girl’s Day in Japan – Happy Girl’s Day!
Love,
Malcolm
