[Parish] Our Budget Situation

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Below is a letter from the Rector, Wardens and Vestry of Christ Church  
about our budget situation.  I think you'll be delighted with the  
generous response of this church to our financial worries.

Please continue to keep us in your prayers.  God is at work in our

Dear Friends,

We would like to update you on the status of our stewardship drive, as  
well as to sincerely thank you for your generous response to our  
request for your financial help last week.  Words are not adequate to  
say how deeply grateful we are to all of you!

Our intention is to keep you updated with the budget information we  
have to date in as timely a manner as possible.  We will have more  
specific numbers for you at our annual parish meeting on January 31st,  
but here is where we stand as of today.  Including pledges that have  
come in, increased pledges, and generous onetime gifts, we have  
approximately $100,000 in pledged income to add to our budget  
calculations.  Assuming that no more pledges or contributions come in,  
we can balance the budget closely enough to only have to reduce Jim to  
¾ time.  We are still working to keep him full time, yet we still have  
a deficit of approximately $28,000 to deal with and will continue to  
work hard to balance our budget.  There are still some pledges that we  
are counting on to come in, and hope that these will come in as soon  
as possible.  Whatever amount you are able to donate will be greatly  
appreciated and used prayerfully and carefully.

and commitment to Christ Church.
