Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

In the midst of this wonderful winter storm I wanted to remind you  
that Saturday is our women's retreat.

On Sunday after church we'll be offering a DVD program on Karen  
Armstrong a former nun who is now a popular writer on religion.

Then on Tuesday we're beginning a great course called "Parenting from  
your Heart" that is described below.

I hope you are all well and continue to keep you in my prayers.

Parenting from your Heart

Compassionate Communication

        Our children (and partners) are so dear to us, yet sometimes  
we can lose that sweet connection that nurtures them and us.  We even  
lose touch with our vision of a family that trusts the caring for  
each other, no matter what’s being said or done.  Compassionate  
Communication is a simple process that can change potential conflicts  
into peaceful dialogs that leave you feeling more connected to each  
other.  It lets you hear and be heard, speak your truth without blame  
or criticism, and work out strategies that work for both/all sides.  
It's based on the work of Marshall Rosenberg, explained in his book,  
Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life.



8 week Foundations Course

can arrange to have it in a room that will accommodate everyone  
comfortably. Please contribute towards the middle of the range with  
the amount you are comfortable with financially.  Feel free to pass

.  Cost will be determined based on how many children need childcare  
($5-$10 per child).
