Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
What a glorious day we had today! The paintbrushes, hound's tongue, miner's lettuce and cornflower are coming alive up in the hills above us. The other wildflowers will soon be on their way. Imagine what we'll see by the time of the parish retreat up in Healdsburg.
In a week that was supposed to be solid rain, we certainly saw a lot of sunshine. Everyone I spoke with told me that it would rain like crazy tomorrow.
Last year at this time we enjoyed a sermon series on forgiveness - this topic continues to be important to us as a community. We have some great offerings this Lent. Almost everyone I know needs to work on forgiveness. This is a chance that God is offering for true Lenten repentance.
I can imagine no better speaker in the world on this topic than Fred Luskin. After the presentation described below we'll be offering a discussion called "Everyday Forgiveness" at 9:15 a.m. on Thursday March 18 and 25 here at church.
May God bless you and all you love this night!

This popular author and speaker will share his groundbreaking research on the science and practice of forgiveness. Key points of Dr. Luskin’s talk will be:
Why holding a grudge is actually hazardous to your health.
Why forgiving benefits the forgiver.
Nine Proven Steps to Forgive for Good -- even a hit-and-run driver, a boss who makes your life miserable, a cheating spouse.
How to teach your children this life skill – for their health and happiness.
