Dear Christ Church family, we've got a big, big day ahead of us this Sunday.
First of all, this is "Second Sunday," which means we will be collecting
non-perishables for the Community Services Agency of Mountain View. Because
of the current financial crisis, more and more people are looking to CSA for
help.

At the 10:00 service, we will be celebrating three Baptisms; Andrew Thomas
Stickeler along with two of his cousins. It will be a real family affair.

After that service, during coffee hour, Mona Armistead will introduce us to
"Partners for New Generations." Representatives from that important
organization will be present to explain the program, and answer your
questions. Also with them will be current mentors and students from the
program.

Than at 4:00 in the afternoon, our Christ Church Choir will present their
second Evensong celebration of this season. This will be followed by a
special gift: The Main Street Singers have agreed to give us a concert of
several of their favorites. If you don't know about the Main Street
Singers, let me quote parishioner Chris Smith:

"The Los Altos High School Main Street Singers consists of 30 young men and
women whose polished performances reflect their demanding rehearsal
schedule, and unique leadership of director Mark Shaull. The group's busy
schedule includes numerous local appearances and an annual overseas concert
tour. Any one who appreciates choral music will enjoy hearing the Main
Street Singers."

See you on Sunday.

PS: our Sunday morning Forums will resume on November 15th.
