[Parish] A Request for Help

Dear Friends,

I've never written a letter quite like this one. I just got off the
phone with a man who I never heard of before named Larry who has
lived with his partner Michael for about 25 years. Michael is now
dying of AIDS and the two of them have been evicted from their house
for failing to make their rent payment.

They would like it if five or six men from our church would help them
move their furniture at the latest on Thursday or Friday to a new
place. I told Larry that the able-bodied men here are likely to be
working then but I promised that I would go to you to see if we could
help. (They hope to receive some kind of check in the mail that
might arrive before then. If this happens they would cancel this
request).

Anyway I have noticed people are in a lot of trouble these days.
Even if you are not able to help these men move, please keep Larry
and Michael in your prayers.

It was very good to see you at Evensong last night. The choir
sounded so beautiful and it was good for us all to be together. I
hope that you can make it to our Lenten series for supper, etc. on
Wednesday at 6:15 p.m.

May God bless you on this beautiful spring day.

Malcolm
