[Parish] Parish BBQ and the Wonderful Sena's

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Tomorrow (Wednesday night) will be our next parish barbecue on the  
lower lawn.  Please bring deserts and salads and all the joy that is  
in your heart.  We'll have a great time together from 5:30 p.m. to  
7:00 p.m.

This next Sunday (June 14) we will recognize our graduates and Sunday  
School teachers.  We are so blessed by some amazing people here.  Our  
teachers really are extraordinary.

Many of you already know that Sunday was Ann, Bill and Jack Sena's  
last day as part of this church.  They're moving off to Carolina  
right now.  Ann's been here for something like seven years.  Their  
generosity to this church in every way has been remarkable.  One of  
my favorite memories of them is as the holy family at Christmas the  
year Jack was born.  Bill, our church's youngest Naval officer,  
simply towered over the Sunday School aged kids in the pageant.  They  
are so sorry to go.  Talking to them reminded me how much our church  
means to so many people.  I guess one day each one of us will walk  
through the doors of that sanctuary for a last time.  Please do keep  
the Sena's in your prayers this week.

The wind is still blowing through Northern California like the Holy  
Spirit.  I pray that God will give you strength and courage as you  
more completely become his son or daughter today!
