Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I'm writing with some very bad news.  Many of you know that we have  
been praying for Arlene Camm for some time now in our prayers of the  
people.  She died this week at Stanford Hospital of cancer.  We've  
scheduled her memorial service for Wednesday January 6 at Christ  
Church.  Please keep Arlene and her family in your prayers.  She was  
a very courageous and faithful person.  We were so blessed by having  
the chance to share her journey with her.

I don't know if you are the type of person who makes resolutions at  
the beginning of the new year.  May God bless you during this time of  
reflection both about the past year and what we hope the future will  
bring.  It is a time to remember that God will continue to walk with  
us even as God has been with us in the past.
